Recycling, you can make a difference

Friday, 30th September 2011

Here at White Nile we are passionate about recycling and I'm sure you are too. Around 40% of waste from households is currently recycled, as of 2011, compared to 11% in 2000/01 (Defra). But the fact is, although we have come a long way there is still more each of us can do to stop waste which could be recycled ending up in landfill sites.

Happy Easter

Thursday, 14th April 2011

White Nile Jewellery is a beautiful alternative Easter gift.  A carefully chosen gift is far more personal than the usual Easter egg and will show the person receiving it that you really care.  Each bead is made from a triangular strip of recycled paper that is rolled, varnished, hung out to dry and threaded.  The colours of the beads come from the paper itself; no dyes are added. This makes every piece unique.

A White Nile necklace or bracelet is something to keep and enjoy wearing.  They are great value rather than an expensive egg with all their packaging.  As well as being environmentally friendly White Nile jewellery gives an income to the ladies who make it.
