    When you are on the White Nile website and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with White Nile alone except in the instances described below.
    When you are using our secure shopping pages you are going through to a partner company, PayPal and it is clear on the shopping page when you are going through to the PayPal site.
    When you sign up to receive electronic updates your details are held securely.
  5. With whom does White Nile share your information?
    As a general rule, White Nile will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. When you are using our secure shopping pages you are going through to a partner company and the information you give such as your credit card number and contact information is provided so that the transaction can take place.
  6. What are my choices regarding, collection, use and distribution of my information?
    If you indicated that you are interested in receiving information about White Nile’s products and work we will send you communications regarding White Nile’s activities, either electronically or otherwise.
    White Nile does not sell or rent user information to anyone.
  7. What is White Nile’s policy on allowing me to update, correct, or delete my personally identifiable information?
    The accuracy of your individual identifying information is important to White Nile. If you have registered to receive email updates from us, you can update or remove your email address from our list at any time by emailing us at office@whitenilestore.com or write to White Nile, 15 Newland, Lincoln, LN1 1XG, with your email address along with your full name and we will change or remove you from our mailing list.
  8. How does White Nile protect my personal identifiable information?
    White Nile is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect the individual identifying information that you provide to us.
  9. What about children’s privacy?
    The safety of children is very important to us. We do not accept orders from any one under the age of 18.
  10. What if White Nile is sold? In the unlikely event that our business assets are ever sold to or purchased by another company our data records are part of our business.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file that a website sends to your computer. At White Nile we use cookies to identify you when you visit our website. It enables us to bring up information relevant to you, for example your name, address etc.  This makes your shopping experience fast and easy.

Cookies cannot read any information on your hard drive. They only contain information you have given to the website.

Delivery  Information

You will not be charged until the goods leave the warehouse and we will only charge you postage once per order. Stated delivery dates are not guaranteed although every effort will be made to meet them. Occasionally it will become necessary for us to cancel your order before delivery. We will let you know as soon as we can that this has happened and you will not be charged.

Returns

If you need to return your purchase, please return it to us for an exchange or refund within 14 days. The item must be in its original condition and with a copy of the invoice. Please note that we can only refund to the original payment method. 

The cost of returning an item is your responsibility unless we have made a mistake, in which case we will refund all costs including the postage. The returned item is your responsibility until it reaches us. 

For your protection, we recommend you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. We cannot provide refunds or exchanges on products that are lost in the post when being returned to us.
